Privacy Policy

Short version: I collect what you type into my forms and what Stripe tells me about a payment. I use it to do the work you asked for. The measurement tools in this release are inactive unless their account IDs are configured. I don’t sell your information. Email me to ask what I hold, correct it, or request deletion.

Who I Am

Authority Builders NC is a one-person business run by Derris Golding Jr. from Greensboro, North Carolina. I provide authority strategy, content systems, and content production for expert-led service businesses across North Carolina. “I” and “me” below mean that business. What I Collect

Only in these situations:

When you fill in a form. Application forms run on Google Forms and may ask for your name, email, website, offer of interest, and free-text answers. An enquiry or guide purchase does not subscribe you to marketing email. Any marketing consent is requested separately.
When you buy or book. After you buy the Intro, the Sprint or the Engine, I may ask by email for your profile URL or handle, recent content links, and details of your offer. Kickoff calls may be booked through Google Calendar appointment scheduling, which records your name, email address, and chosen slot.
When you pay. Payments go through Stripe. I never see or store your card number. Stripe makes payment and receipt details available to me, including the name, email address and phone number you enter at checkout. For The Invisible Expert, the private order record stores your checkout email, the checkout and payment identifiers, the amount and currency, payment or refund status, and a hashed download credential. The server checks Stripe again when you request a download to confirm that access remains valid.
When you email me. Whatever you send, in my Google Workspace inbox.

Cookies, Analytics And Advertising

The website package can support three measurement tools, but this release ships with all three account IDs blank. That means the site does not request these tools unless they are deliberately configured before deployment:

Google Analytics 4 — counts visits, which sections people reach, how far down the page they scroll, and which links they click. Aggregate, not tied to a name.
Meta Pixel — tells Facebook and Instagram that a visit, a checkout or a purchase happened, so I can see whether my Reels actually bring in customers and so I can show ads to people who visited but didn’t buy. This is advertising tracking. If you would rather not be included, use your browser’s tracking protection or your Meta ad-preferences settings.
Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and anonymised session recordings of how people move through the page. It masks text input by default; I use it to find where the page confuses people.

If any of these tools is activated, this notice must be reviewed before deployment. You can block them with a standard content blocker and the site will still work. I don’t sell audience data.

What I Use It For

Doing the thing you paid for or asked about, and replying to you.
Keeping my own records of clients, projects and payments.
Sending transactional purchase, access, booking, and delivery emails. Marketing emails are sent only when you opt in separately, and they include an unsubscribe link.
Working out which parts of this website are worth keeping.

I do not sell or rent your information to anybody, ever.

Who Else Touches It

Only the services that run the business, and only for their part of it: Google (Forms, Calendar, Workspace email and, if activated, Analytics), Stripe (payments), and Hostinger (site hosting, private guide storage, and order and access records). Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity are supported but inactive in this release. Each service has its own privacy policy. If you contact me through a social platform, that platform’s policy also governs the conversation.

How Long I Keep It

Client and payment records: as long as we’re working together, plus as long as tax and accounting rules require. Enquiries that never became work: about two years, then they go. Email list: until you unsubscribe.

Your Choices

Email derrisg.nc@authoritybuildersnc.com and ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I’ll do it, and I’ll confirm when it’s done — unless a legal or accounting obligation means I have to keep a specific record, in which case I’ll tell you which one and why.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. It isn’t directed at anyone under 18 and I don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If what I do with your information changes, I’ll rewrite this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
